Maggie Swonger, Executive Director
Ms. Maggie Swonger joined the Children’s Garden of Learning faculty in August 2016. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ohio University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Administration from the University of Denver. Maggie is also a graduate fellow of the Temple Hoyne Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program and is Director Qualified through the Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood.
Before joining CGL, Maggie taught in early childhood classrooms, served as a licensing specialist, worked with Early Head Start, and with Eagle County Children, Family, and Adult Services. She also taught Parent Advocacy classes for the Colorado Children’s Campaign. In addition to her leadership role at CGL, Maggie is an adjunct faculty member at Colorado Mountain College, where she teaches Early Childhood Education courses. She is passionate about early learning, policy and advocacy, and supporting families, and she brings this dedication to every aspect of her work.
